Installing Voyager
1) Download client software from sftp.lib.hawaii.edu via FTP.
Call the Systems Office at 956-7853 if you do not know the login or password already. Choose
binary mode when downloading these files. If you have problems seeing the files, go ahead and
disable passive mode on your FTP client. You can also disable your firewall software if you're
still getting problems accessing the FTP server. There can be up to a 10 second delay when
connecting to this server, so don't disconnect unless you get stuck trying to connect for over
a minute.
a) Change to the voyager9_1_1 folder.
These files needs to be picked up from the FTP server:
VoyagerInstall_9_1_1.exe
b) If you use the Media Scheduling client, go ahead and download this
file:
VoyagerMedia_9_1_1.exe
2) Rename the old Voyager directory on your PC where your current Voyager clients are installed to voyager8_2_2
3) Uninstall old versions of the Voyager software. (Optional)
You may elect to keep your old version of Voyager8_2_2 on your PC. If you elect to uninstall
the old version, follow the instructions below.
*Important*
Make sure you are either Administrator or Power User to perform these
steps.
Go to Start Menu -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs
Remove any instances that include the word Voyager8.2.2. This includes
System, Programs, Config, and Media. If you haven't uninstalled the
clients before, you may have several instances of the Voyager System and
Voyager Programs listed. Go ahead and uninstall them ALL.
4) Put new client on PC.
*Important*
The first time you install the Voyager clients, make sure you are either
power user or administrator, or the Microsoft Windows registry will not
be updated correctly.
Here is a list of the currently supported PC operating systems and
software for Voyager 9:
Windows 8 Pro/Business/Enterprise

* For the install directory, please make sure you rename the old directory to Voyager8_2_2
before installing the new Voyager9_1_1 clients in your Voyager directory. Also make sure
you don't overwrite the old directory if you need to keep the custom settings from there.
c) Copy over all extentions and customizations from your old/current
